Formax FD 6406 Series - Overview

The Formax folder inserter comes with a 7” color touchscreen control panel. The panel provides graphic-based guidance to the users. The FD 6406 is a smart mailer that has a paper and envelope sensor. This latest technology helps in indicating whether the envelopes are properly done, and the display shows on the panel through icons.

The folder inserter also has an in-built CIS system that checks all the documents thoroughly to ensure that they are properly folded and have OMR, 1D, and 2D barcodes, and QR codes at the right locations. This feature also offers facility of automatically feeding the papers instead of manually collaborating and inserting.

The FD 6406 has been built with a vertical output stacker and top-loading envelope hopper. The vertical stacker has the capacity of holding 500 filled envelopes and the top loading one can handle 325 envelopes at a time. Both of these parts are capable of loading on the fly.

Electromechanical Detectors
The electromagnetic detector of FD 6406 helps in operating any print density, paper color, thickness, or paper dust. The documents that need attention can be delivered to the divert section automatically.

The Formax folder inserter uses very low power to run the operations. It only consumes 100V AC 50/60Hz. To save more energy, the machine turns on its energy-efficient mode automatically after staying non-operational for only an hour.
